Intravenous (IV) Nutrient Therapy involves the administration of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into an individual’s bloodstream through the use of a needle.  There are two main categories or types of IV applications.  First is a small nutrient “push”.  The quantity of nutrients is less, the time involved with the treatment is less, and a smaller needle (very small) can be used for the process.  Second, is called an “IV Drip”.  This includes a larger amount of nutrients infused into the bloodstream over a longer period of time.  The needle is small as well, but a rubber catheter (hollow tube) is inserted into the vein, thus allowing more movement of the arm during the treatment as well as a quicker infusion rate.  Your health care practitioner will determine the best form of treatment for you.
Depending on your personal health concerns, Dr. Du Moulin customizes each IV Therapy treatment.
